1. Providing Our Services 

1.1 DBS Home solutions will provided you with the date and time of our arrival at your property after a appointment is booked in. 

1.2 DBS Home solutions will provide you with an quotation of how long the job will take to complete, however, it may take more or less time than anticipated for the work to be carried out. 

1.3 To carry out the work, we will need you to ensure that: a. We have access to the premises and any facilities necessary to carry out the work are available. b. The premises are clear and safe for us to enter. c. The premises belong to you and that permission is not needed from another person. d. All the materials you provide are suitable for the work to be carried out. If this condition is not met, we may not be able to complete the job and a follow-up appointment would need to be scheduled. 

1.4 In certain circumstances we may need to rearrange your appointment date and time at short notice, due to conditions such as delays beyond our control.

2. Price and Payment 

2.1 Hourly rate is just the charge for the labour, additional fees for materials will be discussed when you receive your quotation.

2.2 We offer a fixed price for each job, with an hourly or daily rate. There is a minimum of a 1 hour hire, then you can be charged for a subsequent half hour. 

2.3 Set prices may vary if additional materials or labour is needed.

2.4 Any materials needed for the job will be discussed with you prior to the work commencing and you will be charged an extra 15% of the price of the materials for us supplying.

2.5 If we travel over 20 miles to get to a job from our main office location Wellingborough, there will be a call out fee of an hourly rate Inc Vat. 

2.6 Invoices are to be paid via BACS or cash or telephone card not present payment within 48hrs of invoice date * - after which a late payment fee of £25 per day will be added, up to a maximum not exceeding three times the original invoice amount (plus addition recovery costs where required).

(Please note we do not accept cheques). 

3. Our Liability To You 

3.1 We are liable for any damage caused to your property by us while carrying out the work. However, we are not responsible for the cost of any pre-existing damage or faults to your property which we may discover during the work. 

3.2 The work we carry out is both for domestic and commercial use therefore we will not be liable for any loss of profit to your business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. 

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy 

4.1 If you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled time slot, you may do so by contacting us. If you provide us with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the hour rate for each tradesperson. 

4.2 If your appointment is cancelled due to our faults, such as the unavailability of one of our engineers or key parts, we will contact you and refund you any payments you had made in advance. Note: You will be charged for any work that has already been completed. 

4.3 If we have already started the work by the time we need to cancel (for example due to a breakdown of machinery, or a drastic change in weather), we will not charge you anything and it will not be necessary for you to make any payment. We will rearrange another appointment for you as soon as possible.

5.1 We have both public liability insurance and indemnity insurance. Our company registration number is 16038330. All of our engineers at Deal Handyman Limited have had full DBS checks. 6. How We May Use Your Personal Information 

6.1 We will use your personal information to:

a. Carry out the work by contacting you with your appointment details. 

b. Process your payment. 

c. Should you choose to opt in to our marketing, we can inform you about similar services and deals that we are offering at DBS Home solutions, you can stop receiving these at any time by contacting us. 

6.2 We will not give your personal details to any third party and we will not store any of your payment or billing details on any of our systems.
